Description FedSys is seeing a System Software Programmer for ongoing development support for the Integrated System Development (CCSS). The Integrated System is a project that is underway to replace several different Child Care Systems with a newer framework that integrates several functions into one system. The System Software Programmer plays a very large role in the development effort for the Child Care Integrated System. This position does not provide relocation accommodations. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software Evaluates vendor supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management Modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures and provides Tier 2 technical support Develop system workflows, requirements and time frames Discover, plan, create and implement Work with the project teams (including end users) to ensure the outcome is functional and contains all needed tools and report capabilities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skilled in C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces and control languages Strong project skills Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal management Ability to communicate clearly with the development team, project staff and the user community Interface The System Software Programmer will work with internal management such as Project Managers as well as with FedSys management. Security Requirements The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. The selected individual may/will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the governments discretion. In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the duration of your employment. Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the Government.
