Description FedSys is currently seeking a Training Specialist in support of the Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan. The Training Specialist will provide either law enforcement tactical and fire arms training, drug law enforcement investigation training (to include case development, evidence handling, informant utilization, undercover, surveillance, and intelligence collection), or military specialty training to Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan. This position does not provide relocation accommodations. Duties and Responsibilities Duties require both classroom and field instruction to support training requirements, to include student evaluation and other reporting requirements. Areas of instruction may include field tactical and firearms training that support law enforcement activities (other specialty skills training may also include field communications and field medic training). Prepare and modify training materials. Train personnel through formal classroom courses, workshops and seminars. Develop computer based training materials and courses. Prompt and regular attendance. Other duties as assigned by senior FedSys management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have computer skills and the capacity to develop PowerPoint presentations. Security Requirements The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. The selected individual may/will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Candidates must currently be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance. Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the governments discretion. In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the duration of your employment. Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the Government. Educational / Work Experience Must have experience in one of the following areas: At least 10 years of experience in Law enforcement, to include 5 years of Tactical Law Enforcement and training experience (i.e. firearms, SWAT, Self-Defense, etc.) At least 10 years of experience in Investigative experience (to include 5 years of specific experience that encompass international and domestic drug investigations and training experience) At least 7 years of experience in military tactics, operations, or program required specific specialty (i.e. Special Forces training, to include the training and knowledge of Small Unit Tactics, Close Quarter Operations, firearms, and helicopter insertion/extractions operations) The position also requires five years of experience in providing training that support military and/or law enforcement tactics and operations. Overseas law enforcement and/or military work and training experience is preferred. Bachelor of Science degree OR 8 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
