CME groups Quant/Risk research team is looking for a talented programmer to contribute to programming and application development for recently developed risk management modules and future projects within the Quant/Risk team. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and process oriented programmer to join our team to create smart tools and provide solutions to enhance the Quant/Risk teams offerings. As a member of the team, the candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks and handle challenges including application development, tool development, UI development, debugging and troubleshooting applications, scripting, database development and maintenance. Good communication skills are key to the success as the candidate will need to work with various people in the Quant/Risk team to gather the business requirements and collect feedbackfor further enhancements of the different deliverables. This person could potentially become an important link between the Quant/Risk team and the IT team for some inter-departmental projects. Qualifications: 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred Process oriented Excellent programming skills using c# .NET, c++, Java or other objected oriented programming languages Excellent debugging skills in tracking and fixing bugs Proficient in web development using ASP.NET, HTML5 and CSS Proficient in data retrieval and data parsing which follows defined message specifications using perl, python, awk, sed or bash scripting Experience in API development Proficient in SQL server and Oracle database (TSQL, PL/SQL) Excellent at writing Stored procedures and understanding the data model Solid understanding of Entity Framework Strong in SQL Programming Solid understanding of Javascript framework: JQuery, JChart, HighChart, Bootstrap, Angular etc Proven track record in cross platform tool development to aid productivity Strong ability to learn existing applications quickly, troubleshoot and to be able to deliver solutions with a quick turnaround Strong communication skills and ability to understand complex requirements Experience with Informatica is a plus This position can be located in New York or Chicago. |
