Job Summary: The successful Research Associate candidate will be an accomplished synthetic/analytical chemist with state of the art knowledge of modern high throughput purification of small molecule. The individual will be a motivated, creative, hands-on laboratory scientist with the ability to interact effectively with team members in all areas of drug discovery. Major responsibilities will involve the isolation of compounds from high throughput synthesis, and the management of high throughput purification laboratory equipment under the direction of senior scientific staff. This is a temporary position for approximately one year. Qualifications/Requirements: A B.S./M.S. in organic/analytical chemistry or chemical engineering with 1+ years of industry experience Working knowledge in analytical/preparative HPLC-MS and SFC-MS, and experience using modern equipment for high throughput purification. Knowledge of modern computer instrument control software, Masslynx, Tecan Evoware and Microsoft Office package. Ability to use, troubleshoot and maintain equipment for automated purification. Motivated team player, able to work closely with other scientific disciplines involved in drug discovery to solve complex problems. Strong attention to details, excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are essential.
