ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental Compliance Consultant who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERMs services, to join our Nashville, TN team. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on EHS compliance-driven and management systems based projects. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging environmental projects for large industrial and global clients. You will also have an opportunity gain exposure to other types of work within ERMs Performance and Assurance practice, including safety transformation programs, client training, and sustainability reporting, as well as opportunity to support other practices (e.g., Transaction Services). Access to ERM's national Performance amp; Assurance experts provides a platform for knowledge sharing of best practices across the industry and ongoing learning opportunities for our consultants. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical assistance on environmental compliance and management systems projects. Provide general environmental compliance support to clients. Potential opportunity to provide on-site assistance as needed. Assess regulatory compliance across various environmental media, analyzing large volumes of data in spreadsheet and database formats. Support the development of environmental compliance registers which detail the applicable requirements for our clients' facilities and map them to compliance tasks. Prepare plans, permits, and reports for client hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, and chemical reporting programs. Perform environmental compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs for clients. Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables. Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects. Manage smaller scale projects and tasks on larger projects. REQUIREMENTS: BS in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. Master's degree is a plus; Minimum 3.0 GPA. 5 to 7 years of relevant environmental compliance experience, preferably in a consulting environment. EIT certification a plus. Professional registration desired, or motivation to obtain. Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports. Experience working in Oil amp; Gas, Power, Mining, and/or Manufacturing Sector will be an important candidate selection factor. Familiarity with USEPA and State environmental regulations and understanding of environmental permit application processes. Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of Excel is a necessity. AutoCAD a plus. Valid drivers license and good driving record. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Local candidates preferred.
