Pragmatics, Inc. is seeking an Applications Developer to provide Enterprise Capability Development, Integration amp; Sustainment Support for the Agile Transportation for the 21st Century (AT21) Program of the U.S. Transportation Command at Scott Air Force Base, IL. On this program, an Applications Developer performs the following responsibilities: Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements web services software in a collaborative Agile environment. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements and demonstrate implemented functionality. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of junior software developers on the Agile team. Participates in development of software user manuals. REQUIRED SKILLS DoD Secret security clearance required to work in this position. Experience with Agile Development Environment, Scaled Agile Methodology, Agile Processes, Web Services, and test driven development; ability to write tools/applications/utilities in JAVA, XML/SCHEMA and WebMethods web services development experience desired. Java, familiarity with WebMethods, Apache Tomcat, and VersionOne; desired Flash, Flex Preparation of technical documents EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and two to fouryears of related experience, or Associates degree with five to seven years of related experience.
